Life Expectancy

Worldwide population is projected to peak at 9.7 billion by 2064 before declining to 8.5 billion by 2100.



Birthrate

Declining birth rates will reorganize global population distribution away from Asia and towards Africa.




Worldwide Population

By 2050, global life expectancy is expected to reach 77 years, compared to 73 years today and 51 years in 1960. 





A DEGLOBALIZED GLOBE


Buy products at home

In 2023, 75% of consumers preferred to buy products from their home country rather than from abroad (up from 71% in 2019). 




Tariffs

As of 2023, US tariffs on Chinese exports and vice versa remain elevated at around20%. Before the trade war, tariffs on both sides were around 7%.



Supply Chain

In April 2022, 75% of companies felt negative impacts from supply chain disruptions and 66% were uncertain if the issues would ever end.




REWORKING WORK


Remote Work

When offered the opportunity to work remotely, 87% of employees take it. Flexibility is a top motivator for job-seekers.




Gig Work

In the US, 44% of gig workers consider freelancing to be their primary income source. The number of US freelancers is expected to grow from 57 to 86 million by 2027.



4-day work week

78% of business leaders participating in a pilot study in the UK say the transition to a 4-day work week was seamless.
